Sunpocket proudly presents a collection of bold coloured shades made especially for our dear friends at Opening Ceremony. The Sunpocket for Opening Ceremony collection features three colour block styles in different combinations of red/white/blue - inspired by the british and american flags in celebration of the new Opening Ceremony London shop (opening July 19th).

The colour block styles are also highlighting the glasses foldability in a graphic and playful way.

The fourth style is a little bit more subtle – with a matte black frame and 24 karat gold plated lenses. It comes in a handmade leathercase from the very local leather makers at Tärnsjö Garveri in Sweden. The Sunpocket for Opening Ceremony sunglasses are based on two different Sunpocket styles: Sunpocket 2 and Sunpocket Sports.

Sunpocket makes premium, but not pricy, sunglasses that are easy to fold and store, but hard to break. The brands history traces back to the late 1970’s where the signature foldable shades gained a strong following in the French ski community. Ten years later, Sunpocket had become immensely popular all over Europe. In 2011 Sunpocket was re-launched by swedish entreprenuer Jacob Höglund, after him falling in love with a pair of vintage Sunpocket glasses left by his father in their ski cottage. The sunglasses are still made in the same factory in Mauritius where they were originally made. Building on its legacy of innovative and distinctive sunglasses, Sunpocket established itself as a brand known for its style, authenticity and quality.

Opening Ceremony have stores in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo and online. Sunpocket for Opening Ceremony will be sold in all Opening Ceremony stores.
